Weekes’ raw vocals and smart lyrics are perfectly complimentary to the amazing sounds of the band. The album feels like a complete and ethereal story that only he could tell. What an absolutely brilliant project.

My Saint Lucian-American brother Taj Weekes has managed to give me the album of the century, #Pause. When I listened to this Roots/Reggae masterpiece, I heard a bit of Tracy Chapman's persuasion, Bob Marley's killer bass line, Peter Tosh's poetic justice, Citizen Cope's crossover arrangements with David Gray's haunting truth. This, for me is Taj's best. Relaxing, inspiring, educational, therapeutic, entertaining, ... I can go on and on. This is simply amazing. Bang Bang and Fine Young Mix (Crisis) are my favourite. This album is now on rotation in my playlist. Well done Taj! Blessings.

What a great album. Song after song, not only makes you feel good but also makes you aware of what’s going on around us. Sister Mary is my favorite, it seems to me that Taj was telling Mother Earth to stop crying because we can and we will do better, now that we are becoming more aware of how our behavior is affecting her.

This album hits a new level of Consciousness by making deeper connections to the life we live in through music. Each song truly brings attention to multiple injustices that plague our society, while still allowing the melodies to take you on a journey.
