Wow this an awesome training program. I really got a great workout.
  • Just try it. . .

. . .and if it doesn't work for you, then stop searching becasue nothing will. REVIEW: I just got it today and I already love it. After about 2min. the music improves 110% (and I am very picky about my music) and the workout is great. I have been doing 3K's for a couple months, but this is deffintily going to be a fun challenge! MUSIC: Music is modern, upbeat, and pushy in a good way (dubstep, dance, club, house, etc.). WORKOUT: The trainer tells you when to walk when to run, and the music is your pace (make sure to walk/run in time to the beat) so no equipment of any kind is required.

I have been trying to get back into running for about nine years. I bought Personal Running Trainer and it has finally kicked in. I was making all and every excuse not to do it. It too cold, its too hot, I need some to run with me so I can pace myself. Just a bunch of excuses. I signed up for my first 5k. 8 Week to 5k has been my motivating best friend. I really feel like I can do it now!
  • Love it!

Bonus you can play your own music. I'm very organized and plan driven and with this I feel like I'm working with a tangible plan. A thinking person's workout!
  • The music is gawd-awful

I've been looking for something like this to help me with pace. The coach narration is good, but the music sounds like MyFirstProToolzyayayayay. Save yourself $9.99, be your own dj and create a playlist that will motivate you through the next 8 weeks. Seriously. This is bad.
  • Never thought I'd run a 5K - couldn't run a mile!

I'm a 39 year old mother of two young children and my whole life I have said that I am not or could never be a runner. Just finished a 5K on Sunday and it was easy. I attribute this all to the training program. It kept me motivated to see if I could increase my time each week. I downloaded the 8 weeks to a 10K and I can't wait to start. Seriously, I couldn't even run a mile before doing this.
  • Motivating

I've gotten a lot out of this training program and will run my first 5K in a few days. I thought I would prefer my own music, but the ethereal techno music helped me keep a good pace, and I enjoyed being free from the words in music. So it was motivating but not distracting. I liked the trainer. I liked hearing I was doing great at the halfway mark. The beginning weeks have lots of the trainer coming on and it's a little distracting but the last weeks are a good balance of music and direction.
  • Really good

I liked it a lot. I used this one to build up my running and am now purchasing the 10 Weeks to the Half Marathon. I have never run consistently before, but after this program, I feel confident to try the next goal.
  • Loving this workout

I've never been one to run, but I'm going on week 3, and I'm excited to do it. It's going to be a challenge, but I know I will do it. The beats are steady and nice for running, but I do enjoy my own music to listen to, so I just prescreen the workout and either watch the time on the treadmill or watch my stopwatch so I know when to begin and stop the intervals. I highly recommend this workout! :)

This is a great training program! The music is perfect for running - dance/techno/house - with voice-over instructions from time to time to let you know when to run or when to change pace. It starts out slow and gradually builds in intensity by the end of week 8.
